Privacy Policy
VOUW B.V. ("VOUW", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through vouw.com, why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
VOUW B.V. is the data controller. Generaal Vetterstraat 57, 1059 BT Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK 80932932. For any privacy question, email contact@vouw.com.
What we collect
Enquiries. When you use our contact or proposal form, we collect your name, email address, organisation (optional), the works you tell us you're interested in, and your message.
Newsletter. If you opt in, we collect your email address (and name, if given).
Analytics & device data. Only if you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, and device/browser type — through Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation).
Technical logs. Our servers automatically record limited technical data such as IP address and request details, to keep the site secure and stable.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal — necessary for steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in responding.
- To send you our newsletter — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve the website — your consent (analytics cookies).
- To keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interest.
We never sell your personal data.
Cookies
The website works without tracking cookies. We place analytics cookies only after you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. A small essential cookie remembers your language and your consent choice.
Who processes your data
We use carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Supabase — database and hosting of website content and enquiries.
- MailerLite — newsletter delivery.
- Resend — sending enquiry notification emails.
- Google Analytics — website statistics (only with your consent).
- Mapbox — the interactive maps.
Where any of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and our relationship with you, and after that only for as long as the law requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics' standard retention period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@vouw.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
