Newsletter: Slow moments, big milestones.
This summer brought new perspectives — launching our first lamp for private collectors, moving to a new studio, great press coverage and putting our mission front and center on our website: technology that cares about people.
Thank you for reading, and don’t miss our inspiration tips at the end.

Bloomlight S launch at our new studio
This summer, we unveiled Bloomlight S during an intimate dinner in our new studio (video). Buyers, press and friends gathered around a long table. Hosted by art journalist Yuki Kho, with music from soprano Brigitte van Hagen & Accordionist Robbrecht van Cauwenberghe, and words by poet Ellen Deckwitz, the evening embodied what Bloomlight S is meant to be: a gentle invitation to pause, connect, and embrace small moments.
The first pieces are now delivered. “A dream come true”, Marion told us, as her Bloomlight S settled into a calm, green room filled with presence.
Frame Awardshas included Bloomlight S in their selection for best light design. One jury review summed it up beautifully '[Bloomlight S] expands the emotional spectrum of design'.
You can order your Bloomlight S here at the introductory price of €3500.

Poetry Where It Belongs and is needed
🇨🇭 Geneva — At the UN’s #AIforGood summit, the Poem Booth stood quietly amid the noise, reminding visitors that technology’s value is not just intelligence, but imagination.
🇳🇱 Friesland — Over several weeks, the Poem Booth toured public libraries from Harlingen to Dokkum, blending into a region where verse is already carved into façades and fountains.
🇺🇸 USA — A local team is now in place for the Poem Booth in the United States, with more coming soon. For bookings in North America, please reach out to Jackie Guscott MacAllen.
Press Coverage - Elsevier Weekly
The Dutch opinion magazine Elsevier Weekly recently beautifully profiled VOUW, tracing our path from the first Bloomlight to City Gazing, Chairwave, and the Poem Booth. They captured our philosophy well: “Geen efficiëntie maar poëzie” — not efficiency, but poetry.
🇩🇰 City Gazing Aarhus - coming soon
End of August, City Gazing arrives in Aarhus, Denmark for the 60-year celebration of Aarhus Festival. Suspended above Bispetorv, thousands of points of light will map the city’s growth over the past century, accompanied by a custom soundscape.
In collaboration with history museum Den Gamle By, this edition traces the city’s story from early streets to modern planning—inviting everyone to pause, look up, and see Aarhus as both proud and fragile.

Things That Inspired Us This Month
🌕 Mars - A Louis Vuitton Travel Book by François Schuiten & Sylvain Tesson. A visual and written dream of the red planet, blending architectural fantasy with poetic reflection.
📺 All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace. Kaleidoscopic documentary about the ideological history of technology.
📘 IA Writer Notebook — The most elegant (and expensive) notebook we’ve seen. Taking minimalism to a new level.
👨🔬 The life of George Price. The rational scientist who was so scared of his own mathematic formula that he became a Christian who tried to prove the existence of altruism.
🎞️ Alamar (to the sea). A small documentary masterpiece: just a boy, his father, and the ocean. Gentle, human, in a world almost untouched by technology.
🚮 Auto-aiming trash can. The dream of a future where we don’t have to aim anymore. Why learn to throw when the bin can politely run after our mistakes? Efficient? Perhaps. Silly? Delightfully so.
Thank you, for being part of our journey
