L'Espresso features VOUW's Poem Booth in major article on Dutch literature

Italian magazine L'Espresso has featured VOUW's Poem Booth in a prominent six-page article about Dutch literature and culture ahead of the Netherlands serving as guest country at the Turin International Book Fair (May 15-19, 2025).

The piece by Sabina Minardi explores the rich landscape of contemporary Dutch literature and includes a notable mention of the Poem Booth as an innovative example of "slowtech" - technology that brings people together rather than isolating them. The article describes poet Ellen Deckwitz showcasing the Poem Booth as "una macchina, coprodotta dal Fondo olandese di letteratura e dallo studio di design Vouw, esempio di slowtech: rallentare, riunire persone, vedere le loro immagini tradotte in poesia" (a machine, co-produced by the Dutch Literature Fund and design studio Vouw, an example of slowtech: slowing down, bringing people together, seeing their images translated into poetry).

L'Espresso, one of Italy's most influential weekly magazines with a circulation of nearly 200,000, positions the Poem Booth within a broader cultural narrative about European identity and cross-cultural exchange. The coverage comes as the Netherlands prepares for its role as guest of honor at one of Europe's most important book fairs, where the Poem Booth will make its Italian debut.

This recognition in L'Espresso represents significant Italian media validation of VOUW's slowtech philosophy and the Poem Booth's role in making poetry accessible to broader audiences through innovative design and technology.
