ArtReview on Noor Riyadh: City Gazing is quietly stunning

ArtReview reviewed the inaugural Noor Riyadh festival and singled out VOUW’s City Gazing Riyadh as one of the works that stayed with the writer.
City Gazing turns the expansion of a city into a shared spatial experience. Suspended above the ground, the work shows Riyadh growing through light: a map that begins with one illuminated square and slowly expands as the city spreads.
> “Quietly stunning.”
For public art programmes, that is the strength of City Gazing. It helps visitors feel the scale of a place, not only understand it.
